Labaron Philon is a guard for the Alabama Crimson Tide and is a freshman for the 2024-2025 season. He played his first year of college basketball for Alabama during the 2024–25 season, as he helped make an impact for the team. In his first 16 games, Labaron Philon averaged 12.1 points per game, shooting 51.4% from the field to display his scoring ability and consistency. Although Philon had initially committed to join the Auburn Tigers, he signed a letter of intent to play for the Kansas Jayhawks before reconsidering joining the Alabama Crimson Tide in April 2024. He joined the University of Alabama as the No. 30 overall player as per ESPN and the No. 5 point guard player by On3.

He scored 2,334 points over three seasons at Baker and won the Alabama Mr. Basketball award. Philon also earned the Class 7A Player of the Year twice. As a junior, he registered 35.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.6 steals average per outing. Philon transferred to Link Academy and helped the team finish in the top-10 rankings in its first season and also led them to the national semifinals. He was also invited to the 2023 Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, in that league, Philon averaged 12.6 points and 4.5 assists per game for Team Thad. Throughout the campaign, he was alongside his Alabama teammate Derrion Reid.
