After spending 21 seasons with the Baylor Bears, Kim Mulkey was hired by the LSU Lady Tigers in 2021. The four-time NCAAW winning coach made her way to Baton Rouge and purchased a lavish $1.6 million mansion in Southdowns.
As per The Advocate, the house was designed by Kenneth Brown and sold by Matthew Bruno. The details of the house appealed to Mulkey, who initially found the home to be a tad bit expensive.
“I told him, ‘If I would have known all that, I wouldn’t have come to you because you’re going to be expensive,'” she said after learning that Kenneth Brown deals with celebrity clients.
The property of 4,400-square-foot features four bedrooms and five baths. Surrounded by trees, the house has attractive amenities like reclaimed Cypress walls, a library with a floor to ceiling book shelf, a kitchen with modern appliances, a large home gym, and floor made of Russian Oak wood.

The esteemed neighborhood also played a factor in Mulkey bagging the property.
“It’s in a very quiet, established neighborhood,” she said. “That appealed to me, along with the distance to LSU.”
