American women's college basketball player Lucy Olsen is a point guard for the Iowa Hawkeyes, a team for the Big Ten Conference, as of January 2025. She attended Spring-Ford Area School District in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Some of her honors and achievements include being named to the Second-team All-Big East in 2023 and First-team All-Big East in 2024. She was also named the Big East Most Improved Player in 2024, as per her college roster. During her high school career, she held the record for career points and assists for both boys and girls. Additionally, she was twice named to the first-team all-state teams. Apart from basketball, she also played tennis in high school and was a member of her high school tennis team, as per her Vilanova University roster. She excelled in tennis as well and was the PIAA state champion in 2020.

Olsen was named to the Big East All-Rookie Team at Villanova when she was in her freshman year. The following season, she was named to the All-Big East Second Team. In addition to this, she achieved first-team All-Big 5 accolades. According to her college roster, she was ranked third in the country in scoring at 23.3 points per game as a junior-year player. She was named unanimously for the first-team All-Big East selection. As a junior, she was voted the Big East Most Improved Player and was an Honorable Mention All-American honoree by both the WBCA and the Associated Press. Additionally, Olsen was also the 2024 Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Year, as per her college roster. Olsen transferred to Iowa in 2024 for the 2024-25 season. Talking about her national career, she is a gold medalist with Team USA in the 2023 FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League Final.
