A native of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Mady Aulbach is a college basketball player for the Youngstown State University (YSU), as of January 2025. Aulbach attended Blackhawk High School. According to her college roster, she was named to the Post-Gazette WPIAL Fab 5 three times and secured all-conference selections throughout her high school career. Aulbach finished her high school tenure with 1,489 points, making her the second all-time leading scorer at Blackhawk.

After graduating high school, Aulbach committed to play college basketball for the YSU Penguins in 2019.
