The 6-foot-6-inch Wisconsin native attended Waupun Area High School. Graduating as a three-star recruit, he opted for Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He played with them for four seasons from 2019 to 2023, but for his last year of eligibility, he transferred to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Following the regular season, he was selected for the All-Big Ten first team by the coaches and the All-Big Ten second team by the media voting panel.

Over his 106 games with the Southern Illinois Salukis, Domark averaged 15.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 35.1 minutes. He was selected thrice to the Missouri Valley Conference and made Saluki history by being the only second player to record 1,600 points, 500 rebounds, and 300 assists. In his final year with the Illinois Fighting Illini, he played in 38 games, starting all, averaging 15.9 points per game, 3.5 assists, 5.2 rebounds, and an 87.2% free throw. He was also named for the 2023 first-team All-MVC and first-team Academic All-American in 2023 and 2024.
