Megan Duffy is an American college basketball coach who has been announced as the new head coach of the Virginia Tech Hokies women’s basketball team. Before her coaching career, Duffy was a four-year letterwinner at Notre Dame and recorded more than 1,000 points, 500 assists, and 200 steals as a point guard. She went on to play for Minnesota Lynx, New York Liberty, Rhondda Rebels, and a few other organizations before embarking on her coaching journey at St. John’s under Kim Barnes Arico in 2009.

Duffy also made stops at George Washington and Michigan before getting her first head coaching role at the Miami University. In two seasons with the program, she led the RedHawks to a couple of WNIT appearances. After two seasons with the program, Duffy was named head coach at Marquette where she led the Golden Eagles to four NCAA tournament appearances. The program established itself as one of the top rebounding teams in the nation and became the fastest coach in Marquette’s history to reach the 100-win mark. In her debut campaign for Marquette, Duffy was named Big East Coach of the Year. After five seasons with the program and compiling a 110–46 record, Duffy move decided to join Virginia Tech Hokies during the 2024/25 season. On April 3, 2024, Duffy was announced as the program’s eighth women’s basketball head coach.
