The Michigan men's basketball team, known as the Michigan Wolverines represents the University of Michigan in intercollegiate men's basketball. The team was established in 1909 and made its debut during the 1909-1910 academic year. The Michigan Wolverines team Competes in the Big Ten Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Associate Head Coach
Phil Martelli is the associate head coach of the Michigan Wolverines men's basketball program since 2019. Prior to joining the Wolverines, Martelli had a career as the head coach for Saint Joseph's University for 24 seasons from 1996 to 2019. Before becoming the head coach, he served as an assistant coach for the university for 10 years from 1986 to 1995.
Since joining the Michigan Wolverines, Martelli played a role in helping the Wolverines secure the 2021 Big Ten title and achieve back-to-back appearances in the Sweet 16 at the 2021 and 2022 NCAA Tournaments.
In addition to his coaching roles, Martelli has served as the President of the NABC's Board of Directors and was a member of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Ethics Coalition. He also served as a board member on the NCAA Division I Oversight Committee.

Saddi Washington and Howard Eisley are the two assistant coaches of the Michigan Wolverines Men's Basketball Program. Howard Eisley joined the Michigan Wolverines as an assistant coach in 2019. Prior to that, he was the assistant coach at the New York Knicks (NBA) from 2016 to 2019. He also served as the assistant coach at the Washington Wizards (NBA) from 2014 to 2016. Before transitioning to coaching, Eisley had a 12-year NBA playing career.
Saddi Washington joined the University of Michigan as an assistant coach in 2016. Prior to that, he was the associate head coach at Oakland University from 2013 to 2016. With the Wolverines, Washington has been responsible for working with University of Michigan's wings and continues to coordinate defensive strategies.
