MiLaysia Fulwiley is a collegiate basketball guard for the South Carolina Gamecocks in the South-Eastern Conference. Fulwiley attended W. J. Keenan High School in Columbia, South Carolina, where she began her basketball journey. In seventh grade, she assisted Keenan in winning the Class 2A state championship and was chosen to play on the varsity squad in the playoffs. Fulwiley was the team's all-time leading scorer and won four state championships in her six seasons with the squad.
As a senior, she was selected to play in the McDonald's All-American Game. She declined offers from Louisville, Florida and Ole Miss to join the University of South Carolina in 2023. During her freshman season, she was named to the SEC All-Freshman team and helped her team win the SEC tournament beating LSU and receiving MVP honors. As of December 2024, she has recorded 109 points, 26 rebounds and 15 assists in 10 games during her sophomore year.
