American rapper and basketball player Flau'jae Johnson attended the 2024 BET Awards after being nominated for the "Sportswoman of the Year" award. However, she lost the award to her former LSU teammate Angel Reese.
Johnson, whose debut album just dropped on Friday and features Lil Wayne, participated in the BETX celebrity basketball game on Saturday. Numerous celebrities, musicians and athletes were divided into two teams and went head-to-head.
Percy Miller — better known as Master P — was also in the house, and Flau'jae Johnson had a chance to snap a picture with him before the game at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The star-studded BETX celebrity basketball game also featured Babyface Ray, DC Young Fly, Lil Mama, Lil Mama, Skilla Baby and Marsha Ambrosius.
The 5-foot-10 LSU guard also shared glimpses of her appearance from the award ceremony. She was dressed in an olive-green gown with a slit up to her thigh.
"Sometimes You Gotta Pop Out N Yk The Rest …BET AWARDS 2024, It’s My Season," Johnson captioned the post.
With a remarkable $1.2 million NIL value, Flau'jae Johnson is one of the highest-paid athletes in college basketball. She has agreed to endorsement deals with top brands such as Meta, Puma, JBL and Taco Bell.

LSU star Flau'jae Johnson's talents extend beyond the basketball court — she is also an accomplished rapper. She decided to become a rapper to honor her father and carry on his legacy.
On June 29, Johnson released her debut EP "Best of Both Worlds," featuring iconic hip-hop artist Lil Wayne.
"I love combining my two talents. Best of Both Worlds shows you don't have to choose one path, you can excel in multiple arenas," Flau'jae said. "This project reflects who I am—a basketball player, a rapper, and someone who refuses to be put in a box. I hope my fans can feel the passion and dedication I've poured into every song."
The album includes lyrics that mention her teammate Angel Reese, LSU's women's basketball championship in 2023 and former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow.
"Keep a double, I feel like I’m Reese," Johnson raps on the album.
"I got me a natty/I got me a ring/I ain’t switchin no sides I’ma ride with my team," she says.
"And I go to LSU and I be reppin' it like I'm Joe Burrow," is another line from Johnson's album.
Known by her stage name Flau'jae, Johnson is heading into her third year of college basketball with LSU in the upcoming season. She averaged 14.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in 2023-24.
