Flau'jae Johnson is growing stronger in her relationship with LSU Tigers football player Chris Hilton Jr. The wide receiver shared a photo of the $1.5 million NIL-valued (per On3) Johnson on the court on his Instagram story on Thursday, and the guard reposted it.
"4️⃣❤️♾️," Hilton added to his story
"❤️🫂," Johnson added.
Flau'jae Johnson teased fans about her new relationship in her Halloween post when she shared a photo with Chris Hilton Jr. hiding his face behind a white pumpkin. The guard also shared photos of a proposal via her Instagram story on her birthday.
The couple went Instagram official before Christmas when Johnson posted pictures of the two in matching pajamas. They have since been more open, even sharing vlogs about their daily activities and giving shout-outs to each other with fans on social media.
Flau'jae Johnson had once revealed that she would only date an athlete during an appearance on "The Baller Alert Show" in April.
"I don't see myself dating a regular person," she said. "Can't date a NARP. 'Normal A** Regular Person.' You can't date no short boy. You gotta be a good person. Gotta be able to make me laugh, funny, a good heart. I don't need anybody, like, negative energy."
Flau'jae Johnson and the LSU Tigers enjoy a great run this season
Flau'jae Johnson has led the sixth-ranked LSU Tigers to a 17-0 start to this season. The guard is averaging 19.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals. After the Elite Eight run last season, Johnson had promised that she will lead her team to a national championship this time. She won the title in her freshman season, with Angel Reese leading the team.
"I really wanna win the national championship," she said in an interview with Sports Illustrated in November. "I felt it before, but I wanna lead my team to win. Like, I feel like if I don't win another championship, it's gonna be a failure for me. I like to just shoot for the moon and work really hard and try to see where I land."
While they have mostly played against unranked teams this season, the Tigers are playing against a ranked team in the new year starting on Thursday. LSU will visit the No. 16 Tennessee Volunteers on Thursday before taking on No. 2 South Carolina on Jan. 23. The matchup against No. 10 Oklahoma wraps January for Johnson and her team.
