Flau'jae Johnson has been keeping her fans on their toes with little hints about her love life over the last few weeks. On Instagram on Tuesday, the talented guard spread some holiday cheer, doing so alongside her boyfriend, LSU football wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr.
Johnson shared a post of herself and Hilton, where they twinned in matching red pajamas that embodied the spirit of the holiday season.
She captioned the post, "Santa Listened," as she went Instagram official with the wide receiver after weeks of speculation. They shared some heartwarming snaps of themselves in what looked to be a well-decorated room that lived up to the festive mood.
On Nov. 8, Johnson shared several pictures as stories on Instagram where she enjoyed a romantic evening with a mystery partner, who went to great lengths to decorate a room with massive LED blocks reading, "BE MY GF" present at the center of the bed.
Over time, that mystery partner turned out to be Hilton, who has received immense support from Johnson during his redshirt junior season.
Following LSU's 37-17 victory over Oklahoma last month, Hilton caused a stir on social media by sharing a few pictures, among which featured an adorable snap with Flau'jae Johnson that confirmed they were in a relationship.
Recently, the couple celebrated their one-month anniversary by sharing some snaps on Instagram.
Flau'jae Johnson powers LSU to strong start
Besides being extremely active off the court, Flau'jae Johnson is proving she is one of the best in women's college basketball on it. She has made a strong start to her junior season with the sixth-them Tigers, powering them to a perfect 14-0 start.
Across those games, Flau'jae Johnson has averaged 20.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists, playing a key role in the Tigers' backcourt. In LSU's last game against UIC, she recorded her third double-double of the season, finishing as the Tigers' top-scorer with 23 points to go with 11 rebounds.
Despite its perfect 14-0 start, LSU slipped a place down to sixth in the latest update of the AP Top 25. A key reason for that could be the opposition they have faced so far, with NC State being the only ranked opponent that it's played.
LSU coach Kim Mulkey will hope her team can extend its perfect record this season in its next game, where the Tigers will face Albany on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
