Flau'jae Johnson’s mom, Kia Brooks, reacted to the St. Joe's Hawks' post-Christmas practice blooper on Instagram. In the clip collaboratively uploaded by Overtime and Overtime WBB of the program’s first practice after the holidays, Mackenzie Smith and Paula Maurina crash into each other seconds apart and drop on the floor.

As Maurina ran to the other side of the court, her foot clashed with Smith’s, launching her to the court. As she balanced herself, Mackenzie Smith tripped over her in an attempt to guard one of her teammates.

"So did we all forget how to play our sport in the last few days off? 😅 @mackenzie.smith21," the video's caption read.

Fans stormed the comment section, comparing the blooper to Draymond Green's on-court tactics, competitiveness in the WNBA Finals and more. Among those was Flau'jae Johnson's mother, Kia Brooks:

"😩😂," Brooks commented.

"😂😂😂," Powers wrote.
"Me yesterdayyyy😂😂😂 it be your own teammates too," Lattimore added.
"We were better today I promise😬😂😂," Mackenzie Smith commented.

Flau'jae Johnson credits her success to Kia Brooks

Flau'jae Johnson is having her best college season so far. She is averaging 20.9 points and 6.0 rebounds on over 50% shooting. With that, the LSU Tigers are aiming to finish the year undefeated with a win against the UAlbany Great Danes on Sunday.

While speaking about her successful season with "VSG Entertainment," Johnson credited her success to Kia Brooks. She claimed that Brooks' belief in her talent taught her to stand by her skills, citing her as the strongest and smartest woman she knows.

"My mom believed in this whole thing before I believed in it," Johnson said. "She believed in me before I believed in myself. I always tell people my mom is the smartest woman I know, she's the strongest woman I know. I was able to believe that because I just look at my mom like a goddess. The ground she walks on, I just think, praise it."

Kia Brooks has impacted Flau'jae Johnson's growth since the beginning. She spearheaded the role of an agent, helping Johnson land her first major deal (Puma). She has also guided her to carve a dual career as a hooper and a musician.
