$1.5 million NIL-valued Paige Bueckers drops 3-word reaction after UConn’s chaotic trivia night

UConn star Paige Bueckers has had quite the week. She suffered what appeared to be a knee injury in the Huskies' win over Villanova on Sunday, and has now picked up another win. This time, it was over her own teammates while playing trivia.

In a video posted by the official UConn WBB Instagram page, Bueckers can be seen competing ferociously with her fellow teammates at a game of trivia. The whole scene looks chaotic and intense, and the caption by UConn tells all.

"CD plans trivia and games for our team, which get chaotic...quickly. This edition features: blindfolded marching, Jana saying 'chicken hot pie,' KK saluting 🫡, so much fighting, never any cheating, ever"

Bueckers, showing her complete competitiveness, hopped in the comments to add another item to the list in the caption.

"And a dub 🫡" she wrote.

Paige Bueckers to return next week after spraining knee

UConn’s Paige Bueckers is likely to return to the team next week after limping off the court during the Huskies’ win against Villanova on Sunday. The star guard suffered a knee sprain, according to head coach Geno Auriemma.

"She’s more upset than anything about missing time," Auriemma said, adding that Bueckers is in "great spirits."

Ranked No. 7, UConn will play Xavier at home on Wednesday, then travel to face Georgetown on Saturday and St. John’s on Jan. 15.

"We’ll figure out how to manage without her," Auriemma said about her absence. "We’re always adapting and readjusting."

The incident happened during the third quarter against Villanova when Bueckers dove for a loose ball. Villanova’s Jasmine Bascoe accidentally rolled into her left leg, leaving Bueckers clutching her knee in pain on the floor.

Auriemma explained that while her ankle is sore, there were no muscle or ligament tears.

"Her knee and ankle got twisted awkwardly," he said. "But we’re optimistic she’ll be back in a week."

Paige Bueckers is currently averaging 20.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, shooting 40.6% from 3-point range. She ended the Villanova game with 15 points, nine assists and three steals.
