On Friday, Kansas star center Hunter Dickinson flaunted his endorsement success with a series of photos on social media. The post highlighted his partnership with Adidas.
Dickinson showcased the Adidas AE1 low-top sneakers, which he held proudly.
“Appreciate @adidas hooking us up with the AE1 lows! Rock Chalk!” Dickinson captioned.
The post generated an outpouring of reactions from fans, with many praising the sleek sneakers and Dickinson’s growing presence in the NIL space. Dickinson, whose NIL valuation is $1.5 million (per On3), has become one of the most marketable athletes in college basketball.
His performances remain stellar as he was recently named Big 12 Player of the Week. As the headliner of Momentous’ NIL roster, Dickinson holds the No. 6 spot in college basketball’s NIL rankings and 33rd overall in the On3 NIL 100.
Hunter Dickinson gets heated on the court
In the second half of Wednesday's game against TCU, Dickinson found himself at the center of an intense scuffle with Trazarien White. As the two battled for possession, the whistle blew to stop play but the players refused to let go of the ball. The altercation escalated as they stumbled out of bounds, drawing attention from officials and their teammates.
Kansas coach Bill Self did not mince words about the incident.
“That was a bonehead play. But what made it a bonehead play as much as anything," Self said after the game, via MSN. "When the whistle blows, you stop. And I’m sure they blew it several times. Cost us a possession, so yeah, I wasn’t happy to see that at all.”
The skirmish drew other players into the fray, with TCU’s Vasean Allette and Malick Diallo attempting to get the ball loose. Officials reviewed the incident and issued technical fouls to Dickinson and White. The ruling handed possession back to the Horned Frogs and White capitalized on the moment with an alley-oop dunk off a pass from Noah Reynolds, giving TCU a 48-47 lead with 12:44 left.
However, that brief lead would be the last for the Horned Frogs. Dickinson rebounded from the chaotic moment to lead his team with a game-high 16 points and nine rebounds. His performance was instrumental in helping Kansas secure a 74-61 victory.
