$1.5M NIL-valued Flau'jae Johnson gives one-word response to what luxury supercar she would purchase

LSU star Flau'jae Johnson, who has a reported NIL deal worth $1.5 million, has expressed her desire to purchase a supercar. Johnson, a junior guard for the Lady Tigers, has become the highest NIL-valued female hooper in the country, surpassing UConn's Paige Bueckers.

On Friday, Johnson quoted an X post that read:

"If you’re buying a car with the first letter of your name what will you be driving?"

The Savannah, Georgia native simply responded with one word.

"Ferrari," she wrote, adding a 'smiley face with sunglasses' emoji.

The starting price for the high-performance supercars varies, but the cheapest model in the lineup — the Ferrari Portofino M, has a sticker price of $230,950. Onto the high end, the SF90 Stradale/Spider comes in at $524,815.

Flau'jae Johnson is enjoying the best year of her career, both on and off the court, which has boosted her NIL value. She is consistently producing solid stat lines for the Lady Tigers this season, averaging 25 points per game — leading LSU in scoring and ranking sixth in the NCAA.

In addition, her music career is also booming — she dropped her debut album this year, collaborating with rap icon Lil Wayne. Her second album is scheduled to be released next year.

Flau'jae Johnson surprised her mother, Kia J Brooks, a talent manager and TV personality, with a car on her birthday in January 2020. Johnson, just 16 years old at the time, purchased a Range Rover for her mom who raised her as a single parent.

"At 16, I got my mom her dream car. AT 16 !! I just wanna wish this lady a happy birthday @therealkiaj. You’re the true definition of unconditional love. I love you sooooooooooooooo much and thank you so much. I feel that this is only a small token of my appreciation and you deserve wayyy more. I guess I just gotta work harder," Flau'jae wrote on Facebook, with pictures of her mom's reaction to the thoughtful gift.

Moreover, in April this year, Flau'jae Johnson bought herself a brand new SUV, the Mercedes AMG G63, valued at over $180,000.

In one photo, Johnson is seated in front of the Mercedes, beaming with pride as she poses, and in another, she is climbing into the driver's seat.
