The $160 million worth rapper, Snoop Dogg (as per Celebrity Networth), was one of the final torchbearers of the Olympics flame through the town of Saint-Denis before it reached the Eiffel Tower for the opening ceremony.

In a video posted on the team's Instagram page, the rapper surprises the 3X3 Team USA athletes including Hailey Van Lith in training afterward. The video is captioned:

"D.O.Double G pulled up to practice in Paris! 🇺🇸 #3x3MNT #3x3WNT."
"Checking in from the 3-on-3 from Paris, France. I’m with the Men’s and the Women’s team, and I’m telling you, the women’s, they look like they finna go win," Snoop Dogg says in the clip.

The rapper took pictures with the team and even made Rick Barry's famous granny shot to applause from the players and staff during his visit.

This year's 3X3 team was to have WNBA star Cameron Brink, but she tore her ACL a few weeks ago and missed the Olympics. The team contains ex-WNBA star Cierra Burdick, TCU Horned Frogs star Hailey Van Lith, Dearica Hamby (Los Angeles Sparks) and Rhyne Howard (Atlanta Dream).

Team USA's 3X3 won the first Gold medal in the event at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics beating Russia.

Snoop Dogg embedded in Paris for the Olympics

Snoop Dogg has been invested in the Olympics ever since he ran a 200-meter exhibition race at the Olympic trials in Oregon at the start of the month. He will be a part of NBC Universal's coverage of the event, showing off the city's iconic monuments. The rapper showed his delight at the honor with a statement released via NBC.

“I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness,” Snoop said.

He will also be part of NBC's "Primetime in Paris" segment, which will have one-on-one interviews with some of the Team USA athletes.

In an interview with Billboard, Snoop revealed which rappers he would take to represent the USA if rapping were an Olympic sport.

“Definitely would take Eminem,” Snoop said. “Gotta have that global experience. I definitely would take Rakim. Old school. Then I would go grab a female. I’d go grab Queen Latifah. Just so that way, I got some royalty. Then, naturally, I gotta take Snoop Dogg. Come on, man. What are we talking about? I mean, dream team. Let’s go.”

Fans of Team USA will definitely have fun with the laidback Snoop Dogg providing coverage of the event.
