Iowa Hawkeyes forward Jada Gyamfi had Caitlin Clark's support in her latest project. On Thursday, Gyamfi announced via Instagram the launch of her new podcast, "Fresh Tawk." The first episode will premiere on July 2.
The $5 million worth (per Celebrity Net Worth) Caitlin Clark was excited for her former teammate as she asked to appear on the show:
"Get me on the show. Love the cereal in back," Clark commented on the post.
Her podcast episodes will be released every Tuesday on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcast, and more.
Jada Gyamfi played 20 games last season, averaging 4.0 minutes of game time with 1.4 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists.
Gyamfi and the Iowa Hawkeyes are preparing for the upcoming season with recently promoted head coach Jan Jensen after Lisa Bluder's retirement.
"The same vision that I had working with Lisa will be continuing. You want to do it at a very high level. You want to do with integrity, never compromising your values, and you want to put a product on the floor that's fun to watch and fun to cheer for and fun to play. So that will remain the same," Jensen said on taking over from Bluder.
While most of the team has returned, their standout players Caitlin Clark, Gabbie Marshall and Kate Martin will be missed on the court. In addition to this, Ava Jones announced her retirement from college basketball after she was seriously injured by an impaired driver in 2022.
Jada Gyamfi shares one peculiar characteristic of Caitlin Clark
Jada Gyamfi shared the court for two years with Caitlin Clark, which saw them go to the NCAA championship game in consecutive years. During an interview with Daily Iowan in April, she was asked one thing about Clark that people don’t know. Gyamfi replied:
"I always say that she’s so lovey, like she loves being around her people. She loves hugs, she’s like a cuddle monster. And you can’t tell that on the court at all. It’s so weird because on the court she doesn’t like people to touch her and be in her face, even though that’s what she’s used to.
"[She’s] probably one of the most mushiest people I know, and it’s weird because I’m not that way at all. I’m like, ‘Why are you so weird?’ She’s just so cute."
Fans usually had a peek into this goofy side of Clark through video posts from the Hawkeyes' social media posts. She has carried it to the WNBA as she was seen playing around with her teammates during the swim trials at Lucas Oil Stadium, recently.
