Solo Ball, UConn Huskies remain red hot after Maui disaster
The No. 11 UConn Huskies have recovered from their disastrous showing at the Maui Invitational in November, winning seven games in a row to improve their overall record to 11-3. Solo Ball has been a vital cog for Dan Hurley's Huskies during their unbeaten run, averaging 12.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists, shooting 44.7% from the floor.
Ball has been lights out from the 3-point area during this stretch, knocking down 20 of his 46 attempts from beyond the arc. It wasn't just Ball who punished DePaul with threes as the rest of the Huskies shot 7-for-20 from deep. Alex Karaban went 4-of-8 from 3-point land, while Liam McNeeley drained two of his five 3-point attempts before being sidelined with an ankle injury.
