Kim Mulkey's LSU remains undefeated, keeping championship hopes alive
The LSU Tigers recorded their 13th straight victory on Tuesday against Seton Hall, gaining the best start to their season. Aneesah Morrow finished with 24 points, 19 rebounds and three steals. Mikaylah Williams added 22 points, draining the most 3-pointers (six) for the game. She also had five rebounds and five assists.
In the post-game presser, Kim Mulkey praised her players, saying:
“She’s (Morrow) a walking double-double. When you go to a game, and you watch No. 24, I just want you to watch how hard she plays the game. I was you to watch how she can rebound with people who are much taller than her. I want you to watch how she never fatigues and gets tired.”
The Tigers will play against the UIC Flames next Thursday. This will be Morrow's home game. Mulkey commented on the importance of including games in her player's hometown, saying:
“It’s not easy to always take them back home, but we’ll try. It’s just something in your heart. We brought all our cameras crew with us so that everybody can see where she [Morrow] grew up and what it was like for her growing up in Chicago.
"We did it for Angel [Reese] last year when we went to Coppin State. I hope we have a great crowd at that game, and I hope they are cheering for LSU.”
The LSU Tigers vs UIC Flames tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Credit Union 1 Arena. It will be broadcast on ESPN+.
