"Adding all the pieces needed to my girl empire": Flau'jae Johnson's mom Kia celebrates LSU star's latest Forbes achievement with heartfelt message

Flau'jae Johnson continues to make name for herself both on and off the court. Besides being a key player for the LSU Tigers, Johnson is also emerging in the music industry as a talented rapper, with her rise being recognised by Forbes.

Earlier today, Forbes released their 30 Under 30 List, with Johnson making the grade. She made the list in the sports and youngest categories, signifying her incredible rise in both the sports and music industry.

The sports category also features Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and the Cavinder Twins, who have made quite a name for themselves in women's basketball in the recent past with their incredible achievements.

To celebrate the achievement, her mother and manager, Kia Brooks, took to Instagram to share a post where she lauded the 21-year-old has put in to establish herself.

Brooks has been one of Johnson's biggest cheerleaders in her journey. She constantly shows her appreciation for the 21-year-old's performances on the court and achievements off it, from praising her when her hit single, "Came Out a Beast" featured as one of the 2024 NFL Songs of the Season to sharing a kind message on Instagram when she became the latest player in LSU history to score 1,000 career points.

Flau'jae Johnson makes electric start to the 2024-25 season

Besides featuring among the top-five NIL earners in women's college basketball, Flau'jae Johnson is also making a solid impression on the court for the LSU Tigers. She has been a key factor in the Tigers' flawless 9-0 start to the season, averaging 22.3 points, 6.3 rebounds. 3.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks so far.

LSU emerged victorious in the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship, scoring their first ranked win of the season in a convincing 82-65 victory over then No. 20 NC State in the championship game. Their impressive run has seen them move up from seventh to fifth in the latest update of AP's Top 25, strengthening their credentials as a contender for the national championship.

Kim Mulkey's side will next face the Stanford Cardinal in their next game, which will take place on December 5 at 9:00PM ET.
