Arkansas Razorback coach, John Calipari, is eagerly anticipating a visit from his his talented daughters in the coming week. The delighted coach shared a series of posts expressing his excitement, highlighting his daughter's occupations and achievements, along with nostalgic throwback photos.
For his eldest daughter, Dr. Erin Calipari, he wrote:
"My daughter Dr @TheErinCalipari is coming to visit today. She works at Vandy as head of the addiction center, but had a pretty good jumper back in the day!"
John Calipari wrote this special message for his younger daughter, Megan:
"And my baby girl Megan visits next week! She’s living in Reading, Mass and is a vegan pastry chef. She is head of the bakery department of FOMU, plant based ice creamery. Take a look a her web page [Earthly Provisions] for some unbelievable recipes! She was a mean left handed pitcher back in the day!!"
When Calipari was making a transition from being the head coach of the Kentucky Wildcats to the Razorbacks, his eldest daughter was hit by a wave of internet trolls, whom she expertly handled.
Before meeting his daughters, John Calipari was visited by another special guest
Although there remains a whole week for John Calipari to prepare for the visit for his two best guests, he was instead visited by another special guest on July 4.
Now that Calipari has settled in Fayetteville for his first season with the Razorbacks, he was seen challenging and working hard with his team.
“We’ve got to get better defensively. We’ve got to get mentally tough. We’ve got guys that need to work on their wheels. We’ve got guys that don’t shoot it consistently enough. You’ve got to get in here and figure it out.”
To instill more confidence and motivation in the squad, Calipari invited the CEO of Walmart, Doug McMillon to the gym facility center.
"Doug McMillon, CEO of Walmart, stopped by practice today and spoke to our team. I’m so impressed with his leadership and his caring heart. I look forward to working together to make our state better for everyone."
The McMillon family is important to the Arkansas Razorbacks as they are one of the boosters of the university. Hence, a meet-and-greet session with the CEO of Walmart will only be beneficial for the head coach and the basketball team in the future.
