Lucy Olsen, an Iowa women's basketball transfer, has found a cheerleader in her teammate Jada Gyamfi. Olsen joined the Hawkeyes in April after departing Villanova University.

On Monday, the 5-foot-9 guard from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, shared a series of snaps from Iowa's media day photo shoot on Instagram. She donned the iconic black and gold Hawkeye uniform with jersey no. #33 and beamed at the camera.

"New unis fit!," Lucy captioned the post.

Her new teammates were quick to show their support in the comments section. Jada Gyamfi, a junior-to-be at Iowa, was the first to chime in.

"Black and gold looks SO good on you😍😍😍," Gyamfi wrote as she appeared excited by the new signing.

Lucy Olsen said Caitlin Clark inspired her move to Iowa

A senior guard, Lucy Olsen spent three seasons at Villanova before transferring to the University of Iowa. According to ESPN, Olsen was ranked as the fourth-best player in the transfer portal.

During an interview with Hawkcentral this spring, she said that former Iowa standout Caitlin Clark had a big influence on her decision to join Iowa.

"They were so fun to watch. Caitlin Clark was so amazing,” Lucy told Des Moines Register … And I tried to learn from Caitlin. Every night, just trying to learn from her. I tried to pick up her change of pace and how she does it."

Although Olsen won't get a chance to play with Clark, as she joined the WNBA, she's eager to continue to help the Hawkeyes with their recent success.

"She is a tremendous student-athlete with an excellent resume. Her skill set and personality was exactly what we were trying to get out of the transfer portal. It’s an exciting time to be an Iowa Hawkeye!," former coach Lisa Bluder said about Olsen.

Lucy Olsen averaged an impressive 23.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 rebounds last season for the Wildcats. She concluded her career at Villanova with a total of 1,504 points.
