UConn was also the better team in free throw conversion. The Huskies converted 5-of-8 free throws, equating to 62.5% while the Terriers recorded a 50% conversion in the contest with 3-of-6.
The Huskies also dominated the Terriers in several other aspects of the game leading to the dominant victory. It was a good start to the season for UConn and the team will hope to keep the momentum as the season progresses.
