Harris was reportedly stabilized when he was taken out of the Colonial Life Arena. He was then transported to the hospital for further tests. The incident took place during a fast break when Harris went up for a dunk but landed awkwardly on his neck.
Medical personnel rushed to his side with a stretcher, with Harris seen moving his arms as he was taken off after nearly 10 minutes. Brit Harris scored four points and battled for three rebounds until that unfortunate event.
The injury was a major blow to the Spartans, as Harris is one of their top performers, averaging 11.6 points as their second-leading scorer this season. Harris is in his first year with the Spartans after spells at Grand Valley State, where he played his freshman and sophomore seasons.
The game continued after the incident, with the Spartans facing a tough matchup against the Gamecocks. The incident cast a shadow over the victory for South Carolina, who went on to defeat USC Upstate 73-53.
There has been no official update on Harris’s condition, but his team, supporters and fans are hoping for some positive feedback.

The South Carolina Gamecocks picked up their fourth straight victory with a 73-53 win over in-state rival USC Upstate on Saturday. Touted as heavy favorites, the Gamecocks controlled the game from tipoff.
The Gamecocks did not let the momentum slip with a 7-0 run, pushing their lead to 19-8. However, the offense slowed down midway through the first half, as South Carolina missed six of its next eight shots. Despite the dip in scoring, they led comfortably with a 24-13 scoreline.

The Gamecocks piled on the pressure, outscoring the Spartans 16-6 over a five-minute-span. South Carolina finished strong, cruising to a 73-53 win. Nick Pringle led the way with 19 points, while Collin Murray-Boyles, Jacobi Wright and Jamarii Thomas also scored in double digits. Murray-Boyles contributed three steals, and Wright dished out a team-high six assists.
With the victory, South Carolina(7-3) marked their fourth consecutive win. The Gamecocks will look to build on their momentum as they continue their season.
