Even though only hours remain before the commencement of the 2024 NBA Draft, there is still some time left in LeBron James' deadline to announce his decision on his player option. His decision could depend on one of the biggest storylines of the draft, Bronny James. It is James' ultimate dream to share the NBA court with his son and is highly anticipated to culminate this week.

Nevertheless, fans across the league want the father-son duo to don their team's jerseys. One of them is rapper Lil Durk, who DM'ed LeBron James with a request to play for the Chicago Bulls and even offered to pay out of his pocket if necessary.

While some Bulls fans would be thrilled at the prospect of Bronny and LeBron James, NBA fans quickly swarmed the post to radiate Lil Durk's incapability to shed out James' NBA pay:

"Lmaoo I don’t think you can afford my Kings salary bro, but thank you for the offer lol 🫡," a fan wrote.
"Bro thinks he got LeBron money 😂," an enthusiast chimed in.
"Lil durk does not have any type of money to even come close to 1/4th of his salary 😂," another fan quipped.

On the other hand, few fans saw the post as an opportunity to roast the Chicago Bulls:

"The only way to get the Bulls to pay the luxury tax is to crowdsource the money, insane franchise," a fan wrote.
"Bulls are desperate asf," a follower added.
"Atleast someone in Chicago is trying to win," another fan sarcastically wrote.

LeBron James will make a contract decision this week

James is currently under a $99,023,288 contract over 2 years and is approaching the latter half of it. However, James has a player option for the coming year, which allows him to void the remaining contract.

Even before the Los Angeles Lakers ended their playoff journey last year, James was rumored to opt out of his contract and look for a fresh deal with LA. Now, the decision could come after the draft as James has until June 29 to make a move.

If James chooses to remain silent, it would mean an automatic adherence of the ongoing contract, which would see him play out the 2024-25 season with the purple and gold.
