Duke rookie Cooper Flagg amazed players and fans with his incredible display of skills at the practice scrimmage. The 17-year-old was part of the Select team that took on Team USA as they prepare for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Despite the heavy veteran presence on the court with LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Jrue Holiday, Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard, Cooper Flagg made a mark as he took on the NBA stars with ease.

The Duke Instagram account shared pictures and videos from the weekend and fans were surprised by Cooper Flagg. One fan commented:

"I’ve seen enough… build him a statue outside of Cameron"
"I pledge allegiance to the Flagg," another wrote.
"This dude is an anomaly," one fan commented.

Most fans were excited for his upcoming season with Duke.

"Iron sharpens iron! Coop’s going to be so freaking good this season!!"
"man if we don’t win the natty this year," one fan wrote.
"We got a NBA player on our squad basically."
"Something about watching cooper Flagg play basketball just puts a smile on your face"

LeBron James was seen looking at Cooper Flagg with a special look on his face and fans picked on it writing:

"Even LeBron is thinking this boy won’t be at Duke very long lol"
"Bron made a business decision in that last slide"
"They should take him with them"

Videos of Cooper Flagg being guarded by Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday as he scores threes are quickly going viral online. The forward has also drawn the praise of many players and coaches.

Cooper Flagg focuses on the goal despite the star power

Sharing the court along-side future Hall of Famers must have been a nerve-wracking task for the 17-year-old Flagg. Despite it all, the forward knew the reason for his selection and got down to work.

"At first I was a little bit blown away when I first walked up here," Flagg said, "but then once the ball went up, it's basketball to me at the end of the day. We're all really good players, and I've always looked up to everybody on that team. But once we started playing, it was just competing."

Cooper Flagg was the youngest player on the court and is the first to join these sessions since Doug McDermott and Marcus Smart.

"I was really grateful to come out and learn. That was the biggest thing for me -- just being able to learn and grow, to share a gym with all of these great, great names. Legends. So, I'm just truly blessed."

Orlando Magic HC Jamahl Mosley, who was the coach for the Select Team, praised Cooper Flagg for his incredible skills.

"He kicked butt here. There's a respect factor for what he's done. People who have not seen him play, as he gets himself going within the game, they quickly see what he can do."
"I mean, he can play. There's no in between. There's me saying, in many different forms, he can just flat out play."

Next on the agenda for Cooper Flagg is taking the Duke Blue Devils to a great season that will culminate in a championship title. The Blue Devils last won a championship in 2015 and fans are eager for another.
