Jada Gyamfi answered some fan questions in Tuesday's episode of her "Fresh Tawk" podcast. She gave a glimpse into her recent endeavors, Iowa Hawkeyes' practice sessions and much more.
As one fan asked about the most joyous things in her life recently, Gyamfi replied that she is enjoying planning for her future. She revealed that she will see Caitlin Clark soon, visit Gabbie Marshall in April and is lining up to watch a few WNBA games in the summer.
"I would say thinking about the future has brought me a lot of joy and planning for my future," Gyamfi said (Timestamp: 10:14).
"Not necessarily too far ahead in the future, but knowing that Caitlin's going to come visit me pretty soon, that'll be fun. I have really fun plans for April and seeing Gabbie and more WNBA games this summer. Thinking about that stuff has been really bringing me a lot of joy."
Jada Gyamfi did not share when or where she would be meeting Caitlin Clark. However, the Indiana Fever guard is set to visit the Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Feb. 2 for her jersey retirement ceremony.
There is a chance that Gyamfi will be part of honoring Clark. The Hawkeyes announced an initiative last week, asking fans to record a 30-second video about Clark's impact on their lives. Selected videos will be featured during the ceremony and the forward showed her interest in participating in it.
Jada Gyamfi will follow Gabbie Marshall's path after college
Gabbie Marshall diverted away from chasing buckets after her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes. The sharpshooter did not showcase interest in the WNBA and is focusing on her studies. She is pursuing Occupational Therapy at the University of North Carolina.
Similarly, Jada Gyamfi plans on focusing on her dream of becoming an elementary teacher after she hangs her #23 jersey.
"I want to be an elementary teacher," Gyamfi said (Timestamp: 1:18). "I haven't really decided what grade I prefer, but I think that I will be happy anywhere and there is a little bit of a shortage for teachers right now. So, I shouldn't have any trouble finding a job. We need more teachers. Go to school to be a teacher."
Since Jada Gyamfi cannot fulfill her student-teaching program requirements due to her participation in the women's basketball program, she will return to campus after her eligibility years for a semester.
