Caitlin Clark and Gabbie Marshall might not be teammates now. But, the love between the two Iowans remains as they both support each other in their endeavors. Marshall has attended Indiana Fever games a few times this season to cheer for her former teammate.

Clark has reciprocated this many times with vocal support of Marshall's post-basketball work. On Monday, she extended the same as Gabbie Marshall revealed her newest partnership with Cancer brand. In the caption, Gabbie Marshall shared that they were targeting to collect $100,000 in donations to help "support our loved ones in their fight against cancer." She also revealed that this had a personal connection to her, as her grandmother has been battling multiple myeloma.

"These aren’t just shirts—they’re capes for our heroes," Marshall wrote.

After five seasons with the Iowa Hawkeyes, Gabbie Marshall announced her retirement from playing basketball. She is reported to be pursuing her master's in Occupational Therapy. Marshall has credited her time with the Hawkeyes as one of immense growth as a person.

“I’ve become a better person, stronger, a better leader,” she said. “My freshman year I struggled to use my voice a little bit. I kind of hid in the shadows.
"But I think I’ve trusted my own voice, just been a better leader because these people around me have pushed me, especially Kate. She’s one of the best leaders I’ve ever been around. These people are amazing, and they’ve helped me grow.”

Caitlin Clark continues creating history in the WNBA

Caitlin Clark, Gabbie Marshall and Kate Martin formed the foundation for the Iowa Hawkeyes' back-to-back NCAA championship game appearances. While Marshall has moved on from basketball, both Clark and Martin are in the WNBA, making new strides with every game.

The Fever guard, in particular, is enjoying the best time in Indiana's pursuit of a playoff spot. Clark is averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists while shooting 40.5% from the floor and 32.7% from the three-point line.

On Saturday, Clark participated in the WNBA All-Star game where she scored four points and 10 assists, breaking the record for most assists in an All-Star game by a rookie. With the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics, the guard will be enjoying a month-long break before returning to the court.
