Caitlin Clark has won over the internet once again; this time with her care and for making a cancer survivor's day. Ahead of the Indiana Fever vs Las Vegas Aces game on Tuesday, Clark met with 14-year-old cancer survivor Bailey Lux.

The two had known each other since 2022 when Lux began receiving treatments for her MPNST Sarcoma in her right arm at the University of Iowa Hospital. Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin visited the hospital, with Clark staying back to play Mario Kart.

With the help of the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Bailey Lux and her family are in Las Vegas for the game. The 14-year-old received an autographed jersey from the Fever team and an autographed basketball from the Aces team.

Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes have been the strength for Bailey Lux through cancer and loss

Bailey Lux moved to the Ronald McDonald House in 2022 and began visiting the Carver-Hawkeye Arena for games since then. However, she has been a fan of the team for much longer.

"I’ve been a Hawkeye fan since birth, so it’s been kind of in my blood for a really long time now," Lux said (via We are Iowa). “After meeting them, that just brought out [something in] me and it, like, encouraged me. I’m going to beat it now. And I beat it for the first time ever, so I got to ring the bell and everything.”

Aces rookie and former Iowa guard Kate Martin also played a huge role in Bailey Lux's recovery, as she would often visit her. The young survivor was declared cancer-free last year.

The strength the 14-year-old received from the Hawkeyes helped her tide over the return of cancer in February 2024. This time, it was high-grade MPNST Sarcoma, and there was no treatment or cure for it. In addition to this, Lux also lost her mother to ovarian cancer in January.

“They don’t care, they win the next game and the next game," Lux said. "And it just helps me like say 'Hey, if I keep trying I will, I can win, I’m never going to give up.' They’ve impacted my life and I’m really grateful that I got to meet them all,"

Bailey Lux has shared that she will be supporting both teams during the game. She will be wearing a jersey with Caitlin Clark's name on the front and Kate Martin's on the back. (for ref: Aces video with Lux)
