Denver Nuggets legend Carmelo Anthony's son, Kiyan Anthony, has had a busy summer. He went on an extensive vacation with his mother La La Anthony to Tokyo, Japan, before partaking in Team USA's Paris 2024 Olympics Gold medal game against France.
Last week, he trained with Chris Brickley who trains the NBA superstars. On Friday, he rocked up at "Humble Development Youth" to share his hooping knowledge with the youth of that community.
La La Anthony reposted a graphic on her Instagram stories of her son sharing his basketball knowledge with the youth.
"Always giving back. It's the only way! @kiyananthony @humbledevelopmentyouth," La La wrote.
"Yesterday @kiyananthony popped out for the kids," humble development youth captioned their graphic.
Kiyan Anthony considers his future
Kiyan Anthony had impressive performances in the Nike EYBL Circuit, averaging 19.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists. As a result, he has put himself in a prime position in the class of 2025.
During the circuit, he played against some of the best players in the country and managed to hold his own against them. This led to him being named the No. 1 prospect in New York in the class of 2025 by ESPN. He also cut down the number of schools he is giving some thought to joining when the time comes.
The schools are Florida State, Rutgers, Auburn, Ohio State, USC and Syracuse, his father's alma mater where he won a national championship in 2003. During an interview with the media after the 2024 Peach Jam, Anthony spoke about the schools on his list and why he was considering them.
“They’re (Syracuse) on me heavy," Kiyan Anthony said. "I’m looking to take a second visit. I want to go to a basketball game when the season starts. I know it’s (Ohio State) a new building program with coach (Jake) Diebler over there."
"They were the first coaches in the gym to come see me today so that shows that they’re really interested in me. I really like that so they’re really high on my list. I’m looking forward to taking a visit after Peach."
Wherever Anthony decides to play, he will likely generate headlines for his talent and the fact that he's the son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony.
