Haley had 30 points on 11/21 shooting from the field, 3/9 from behind the arc, and 5/6 at the free throw line. Her performance earned her the MVP honors for the tournament. Sunday's victory was also Haley's second 30-point game this season.

The Canes led the game from the start, shooting 50 percent from the field in the second quarter while limiting the Bobcats to just 25 percent. They led 15 points going into halftime. Miami was also ahead with 14 points going into the final quarter until the Bobcats staged a comeback and even took a three-point lead with just under 30 seconds remaining.

Haley buried a contested 3-pointer to force the game into overtime for Miami. From there, the Canes dominated the extra time, leading Quinnipiac 16-7 to earn the 83-74 victory and win the tournament.

Afterward, an All-Tournament Team was named, which consisted of Haley Cavinder (MVP), Cameron Williams, Gal Raviv (Quinnipiac), Jackie Grisdale (Quinnipiac), Lexi Alexander (Southeastern Louisiana) and Keanna Rembert (Charlotte).

The win is Miami’s seventh consecutive victory to start the season under Tricia Cullop. Next, the Canes host Vanderbilt on Wednesday.
