It seems the Big Ten players are not looking forward to playing at the Iowa Hawkeyes' home court. In an NCAA TikTok account video posted Saturday, some conference players named the away crowd they wanted to silence the most.
Ohio State's Madison Greene and Taylor Thierry, Indiana's Chloe Moore-McNeil and Sydney Parrish and UCLA's Lauren Betts all named Iowa's Carver-Hawkeye Arena as their choice.
Hawkeyes fans reacted in the comment section, with one writing:
"Carver-Hawkeye Arena will never be silent again."
Former Iowa star Caitlin Clark also replied to the video:
"Shoutout carver."
The arena witnessed some of Clark's record-breaking moments throughout her four-year career with the Hawkeyes.
With Clark now in the WNBA, many predicted that the program would also lose its followers. However, that was proven false when Carver-Hawkeye Arena reportedly sold out for the upcoming season. This is the second time in program history.
Along with losing Clark, Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall, Iowa also underwent changes in the coaching staff, with Lisa Bluder retiring and Jan Jensen taking over.
Iowa's Hannah Stuelke and Lucy Olsen heap praise on each other
Hannah Stuelke grew into her role last season, working alongside Caitlin Clark. For the upcoming campaign, the forward will be one of the core players alongside the Vilanova transfer Lucy Olsen.
On the "Big Ten Women's Basketball" show, Stuelke commented on the practice sessions with Olsen.
"It's been a lot of fun," she said. "She's an amazing basketball player. I haven't played with anyone quite like her yet. She's got a different style of basketball than I've played with, so it's a lot of fun getting used to that. And yeah, I think we're gonna have a lot of fun this year."
In turn, Olsen praised the junior.
"I mean, part of the reason I came to Iowa was to play with Hannah, so it's been a lot of fun in practices and, yeah, we're working on that chemistry," Olsen said.
Along with the two players, Kylie Feuerbach and Sydney Affolter are also expected to have a huge impact on the team and lead them from the front.
