Why was Robert Griffin III fired?
RG3 joined "Monday Night Countdown" in 2022 and appeared on the network's various shows. As per The Athletic, he had two years remaining on his contract and will be granted the seven-figure annual salary as agreed.
The report also suggested that Griffin and Ponder were cut from the network because of yearly cost-cutting evaluations. Robert will be replaced by the former Super Bowl-winning center, Jason Kelce.
Robert played eight seasons in the NFL for Washington, the Cleveland Browns, and the Baltimore Ravens. He was selected No. 2 overall in the 2012 NFL draft and had his best season as a rookie, which led him to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
