Shelomi Sanders, daughter of Deion Sanders, has been having fun on Instagram, playfully responding to her mom, Pilar Sanders' latest post.
Earlier this month, after Shelomi entered the transfer portal, Coach Prime didn't hold back, calling her decision to leave the Colorado Buffs women’s basketball team a "stupid" move on DNVR BUFFS LIVE.
Despite the banter, Shelomi kept up her playful antics on Instagram. When Pilar posted a video of Shelomi's media day, filled with proud hashtags like #hbcu, #swac, and #collegebasketball, captioned:
“My baby dolls,” Pilar wrote.
Shelomi’s response was simple but cheeky: three devil emojis.
Recently, she shared some photos from her trip to Boulder for her dad's Week 4 game against Baylor. In one picture, Shelomi’s T-shirt declared her as the No. 1 kid in the Sanders family.
Coach Prime quickly responded, "You're NOT #1 right now..." explaining that her sister, Deiondra, holds that title since she just had her baby.
Shelomi, the youngest of Deion Sanders' daughters, has now confirmed her next step—she’s headed to Alabama A&M after spending just one season at Colorado.
Shelomi Sanders opened up about her decision to leave Colorado
Former Buffaloes guard Shelomi Sanders described her time there as a tough experience at Colorado. In a candid interview, the youngest daughter of Coach Prime shared that after reflecting with her mother, Pilar Sanders, she knew it was time for a change.
“I don’t want to say anything too bad,” Sanders said on a livestream [H/t SI]. “It just wasn’t good energy. It wasn’t good vibes.”
“There wasn’t enough being poured into me as a player and young lady. If I didn’t leave when I did, I promise you I would’ve quit.”
This marks the third stop in Sanders' college basketball journey, which began at Jackson State. Last season, she played limited minutes in five games for the Buffs.
Now, Shelomi heading to Alabama A&M to join the Lady Bulldogs under new head coach Dawn Thornton, ready for a fresh start.
