Kentucky Wildcats guard Robert Dillingham was selected eighth overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2024 NBA Draft on Wednesday, June 26. However, just a few minutes later, it was announced that Dillingham was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for an unprotected 2031 first-round pick and a protected 2030 pick swap.

Dillingham attended the draft, which took place inside Barclays Arena in New York in a stylish ensemble. He wore a black suit, embezzled with sparkle details. The official Instagram account of the NBA uploaded a video of Robert giving himself some final touches by spritzing perfume and wearing his sneakers.

When fans saw the Wildcats star opting to wear Chuck Taylor All-Star, they could not stop themselves from expressing their opinions.

While some liked the pairing of the iconic sneaker with a black ensemble:

"the fit cool the shoe just threw y’all off cause they chucks," a fan wrote.
"Rob fit tuff," another fan commented.
"Yessir solid move with the all stars ⭐️ 🔥," a fan chimed in.

Others were not fans of the suit and Converse fit:

"Chucks messed it up Rob 🤦🏽‍♂️," a fan commented.
"Are you gonna wear that suit with some Chuck Taylors? Smh," another fan chimed in.
"Ain’t no way you messed up that fit like that gang," an IG user wrote.

Former New Mexico HC expressed his candid thoughts about Robert Dillingham

As he headed into the NBA draft season, Dillingham received praise from New Mexico Lobos head coach Fran Fraschilla. The former Manhattan Jaspers coach tweeted:

"Inch for inch, I believe @KentuckyMBB Rob Dillingham is the most skilled player in this @NBADraft . His handle is Kyrie-like, shoots 44% from three and will never be afraid of the big moment. I think he’s going to trend towards @JCrossover -Lou Williams status some day."

The former four-star prospect averaged 15.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.
