Tre Donaldson left college basketball fans in awe with an impressive display of footwork during the Michigan Wolverines-Iowa Hawkeyes game on Saturday, The Michigan guard crossed up Iowa's Ladji Dembele, sending the Hawkeyes star tumbling to the floor.

Donaldson's smooth shammgod move left Dembele reaching and helplessly falling to the hardwood, much to the delight of the Crisler Center crowd. The 6-foot-3 junior's slick handle came during the first half of the game, leading to a stylish finish that put Michigan ahead 16-4 early.

Tre Donaldson reacts to Michigan's victory over Iowa

Michigan secured the key Big Ten win over Iowa on Sunday at Crisler Center. With the win, the Wolverines move to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

The game was tied with 3 seconds remaining before Michigan's Roddy Gayle layup delivered the victory. Tre Donaldson, the Auburn Tigers transfer, finished the game with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting while adding five assists and two rebounds.

After the game, Donaldson spoke about the hard-fought win for the Wolverines.

"That's just being vets, Big Ten is a tough league," he said. "Had to withstand that little run they had, that's just being vets learning how to close games, knowing how to close games and just executing."

The 18 points marked Tre Donaldson’s highest-scoring output this season. He has made an immediate impact for Michigan, following his transfer from Auburn this summer, averaging 11.4 points, 3.9 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game.

"It has to be a Michigan track meet," he added.

Michigan will next play Arkansas as part of the Jimmy V Classic in New York on Tuesday.
