College hoops fans react as $1M NIL-valued Paige Bueckers scored a Nike sneaker deal: "Buying as soon as it comes out"

Paige Bueckers will be the first-ever student-athlete to be honored by Nike with a special edition colorway of the 'Greater Than' series shoe called the Nike GT Hustle 3. Sole Retriever announced the news and when fans were made aware of it, they could not contain their excitement.

The Nike GT Hutsle 3 was first launched in early July as part of the Blueprint Pack. It was then released in the Electric Park, both versions inspired by the 2024 Summer Olympic Games buzz.

As the college basketball season approaches, Nike plans to release numerous colorways of the GT Hustle 3, including exclusive designs.

As per Sole Retriever, the launch date of the sneaker is September 12 while the price is estimated to be around $120.

Fans wrote positive comments and could not wait to get their hands on the shoes dedicated to the UCONN Huskies star.

Paige Bueckers wore the Nike GT Hustle 2 when she announced her NIL deals with Nike

One of the brightest stars in the college basketball world, Bueckers has created a long-lasting impact on the sport.

Along with her on-court prowess, Paige Bueckers has become one of the most popular faces in the world of college sports. With a NIL valuation of $1 million, as per On3 Sports, she is one of the highest-earning college athletes.

She signed her dream NIL deal in September 2023 when Nike announced that the company had added the UConn star guard to their roster of talented athletes. She said, as per Footwear News:

“I am blessed and honored to announce my partnership with Nike. Joining the Nike family is a childhood dream come true. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together on and off the court.”

When the partnership was announced, it was also informed that Paige Bueckers would represent the brand by wearing the Nike GT Hustle 2. This was released in only a few locations at the time.

In last year's NCAAW championship run, Paige Bueckers laced up the Nike Sabrine 1, the signature shoe of the WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu.
