When Kamorea Arnold, who is also known as "KK" in the Huskies fandom, was a freshman on the team, she grew into a star player alongside her teammate, Paige Bueckers. Both players helped the team reach the Final Four in the 2024 NCAA Women's tournament, making the Huskies a favorite to win next year's championship.
Arnold appeared on a talk show with Boston Celtics broadcaster, Drew Carter, and talked about the 40-plus offers she had from colleges after graduating from high school. She also revealed why she finally chose UConn. Her answer reflected her trust in the Huskies staff and squad but what fans noticed the most was her glamorous new makeup look.
"When I just stepped on UConn's campus, it felt like home. The girls made it even better. Being there with them, just the coach's staff is a really great support system," Arnold said.
Many fans noticed that Arnold wore false eyelashes and a soft glamorous makeup look. Hence, the fans complimented the hoops star; they wrote:
"DID THEY PUT LASHES ON HERRR SHE LOOKS SO GOODDD"
"My girl got on lashes yassss😍"
"KK MAKEUP LOOK REAL TEA 😝"
Other fans were thankful that KK chose UConn over other schools and wrote about how "cutesy" she is.
"so happy she came to UConn"
"Kk is hilarious just in case anyone cares!! Girly pops unite 💁🏾🙌🏽"
"Ok kk girly pop💕i love this period very demure, very cutesy"
Kamorea Arnold was always a fan of the UConn Huskies
The Huskies hooper's parents were not surprised when their daughter committed to play for head coach Geno Auriemma's team. She has been a fan of UConn since she was 3-years-old, and she also asked her parents to design a Huskies-themed bedroom for her birthday that featured a UConn bedding, posters, and a Fathead cutout of the school mascot, Jonathan the Husky.
“Once she got that offer we kind of knew as a family that it was over,” Kim, KK's mom said, per CT Insider. “The other 33 offers now were probably gone out the door because she got the one offer that from a young age, that’s where she’s always said she wanted to play.”
Inspired by her older sister, Mimi Arnold, KK is expected to channel her spirit in this year's college basketball season. Her impressive skills have led many fans and analysts to think that she could replace Paige Bueckers once she graduates in 2025.
