Kerr Kriisa is a 6-foot-3 guard who recently transferred to West Virginia. He spent the first three years of college at the University of Arizona, but is now looking for something else.

The Arizona Wildcats entered the NCAA Tournament as a No. 2 seed and were among the favorites to reach the Final Four. However, they ended up getting knocked out in the first round in one of the biggest upsets of the tournament, falling 59-55 to No. 15 Princeton.

Kriisa has two years of eligibility left due to the COVID-19 pandemic and could play for the West Virginia Mountaineers until 2025.

Kerr Kriisa's transfer to West Virginia could be the transfer of the year

Kerr Kriisa averaged 9.9 points and 5.1 assists, both career-highs, in the 2022-23 season with the Arizona Wildcats. However, he only scored three points in the NCAA Tournament, going 1-for-7.

Some basketball fans believe that Kriisa's move could be the transfer of the year.

Others, however, have pointed out flaws in his game. While Kerr Kriisa has a lot of experience, he's not exactly a lockdown defender and rarely takes shots inside the 3-point arc.

Some West Virginia fans think that Kriisa's transfer could lead to a few more high-level transfers.

If this happens, the team will certainly improve next season. West Virginia (19-15) also had a brief run as a No. 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament, getting eliminated in the first round by No. 8 Maryland 67-65.

Kedrian Johnson will not be returning to the team next year, which is why adding Kerr Kriisa to run the floor was a great move. Kriisa led the Pac-12 in assists and could be huge for the Mountaineers.

Even with the addition of the point guard, West Virginia still needs a few more pieces to become an elite team. Adding two more scorers would fix the problem, according to one Twitter user.

Adding a big man who can score and rebound would make the team much better, some West Virginia fans believe.

Many fans are already looking forward to the new season. Considering that the Mountaineers had a short run in the NCAA Tournament, the addition of the point guard could help them have a deep run next season.

In general, most West Virginia fans seem to be very excited about the latest pickup and believe that the team will benefit from Kriisa. Some of them even punned his first name!

The Estonia native has definitely proven that he's capable of playing high-level basketball. Considering that he had a career year in the 2022-23 season, it will be interesting to see how he fits in with West Virginia next season.
