Paige Bueckers and several UConn teammates showered love on freshman Ashlynn Shade after she posted a series of photos on Instagram on Monday. Shade, last season's Big East Freshman of the Year, shared highlights from UConn’s recent trip to the Bahamas.
The Huskies won the Baha Mar Women’s Championship in Nassau on Wednesday after defeating the No. 18 Ole Miss Rebels. Her post featured team photos, scenic shots of the Bahamas, solo beach pictures and moments with her family.
"Bahamas Dump," Shade captioned the post, accompanied by a desert island and a relieved face emoji.

Bueckers even reposted Shade’s post on Instagram.
Shade started alongside Bueckers in both championship games. She had six points and three assists against the Oregon State Beavers and chipped in two points and two rebounds against the Rebels.

The Bahamas trip was a success for the Huskies, not only in terms of their tournament wins but also players enjoying their time off the court.
Palm trees and beach scenery filled the Huskies’ social media feeds, with Ashlynn Shade, Morgan Cheli and others sharing posts from their downtime and activities.
Paige Bueckers and Ashlynn Shade reacted to Cheli’s pictures with heart-eye emojis.

Although the team had some time to relax at the beach and pool in the Bahamas, they mostly spent their days practicing in the resort's convention center courts.
The No. 2 UConn Huskies (6-0) are undefeated this season heading into Tuesday's matchup against Holy Cross in Storrs.
