Paige Bueckers had a fun time last weekend during the WNBA All-Star festivities. The UConn guard caught up with former Husky Diana Taurasi, had a viral moment with Caitlin Clark, and made the best of her time cheering the players from the sidelines with Flau'jae Johnson.
She posted a photo dump on her Instagram and drew comments from many, including the LSU Tigers' Olivia Dunne. The $3.6M NIL-valued (per On3) gymnast commented:
"da coolest"
Bueckers and Dunne were both in attendance during the ESPYs earlier this month and were among the best-dressed college stars.
Bueckers showed her style during that event as well, as she rocked a lilac KidSuper suit.
Not to be outdone, Dunne also displayed her keen fashion sense as she wore a metallic gold gown.
Paige Bueckers shares her goals for the upcoming college basketball season
With the potential of this being her last year at Storrs, Paige Bueckers faces the pressure of finally winning a championship. The guard came close last season but was pushed out of the race by Caitlin Clark and her Iowa Hawkeyes in the Final Four round.
Talking about this on Nike's "This Is Winning Panel" during the WNBA All-Star Weekend, Bueckers said:
"I know I'm not at the top, at the peak of my performance. I'm not anywhere where I wanna be. So, 'I'm always motivated by that, always motivated by wanting to win. I haven't won a national championship. So, I'm trying to get there. I'm tryna work for it."
"It's super motivating when you go to UConn, you only think of one thing, that's winning national championships and you get to do it, so that's been motivating me a lot. And just for me coming back from injury being inspired people that injury doesn't have to be the end of your career, doesn't have to be labeled don't put the box. You can be great, come back even better."
Bueckers and the UConn Huskies are favorites to win the championship in the upcoming college basketball season. Their biggest opponents will be South Carolina and the USC Trojans.
