Acaden Lewis, one of the top PG prospects in the 2025 class, averaged 14.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.5 steals for Sidwell Friends High in the 2023-24 season. He has been eyed by several top colleges, with a total of 29 offers reportedly on the table for him. Lewis will begin his school tours after the Peach Jam tournament.
"I'd like to start taking my official visits basically as soon as the summer is over," Lewis told On3. "June is kind of hectic with the NBPA Camp and then the two live periods. So after July, once Peach Jam is over, I’m looking to start going on my official visits. My birthday is October, so I was thinking committing then would be cool, but I don’t want to rush things."
Acaden Lewis picks his top eight schools
Acaden Lewis, the 2024 Gatorade Player of the Year, announced his final eight schools last Wednesday. Speaking with Joe Tipton of On3 Recruits, Lewis trimmed his list of offers to Kentucky, Duke, UConn, North Carolina, Auburn, Michigan, Syracuse, and Tennessee.
"The culture of the school will be big for me," Lewis said. "I want to see how they talk to the top guy, their second guy, their thirteenth guy. See how they treat their managers and everyone in the program. The roster will be big too. WIth the portal and everything going on there, I want to go into a family environment where I know the coaches are invested in me."
The Washington, DC native has already gone on two unofficial campus visits to Dan Hurley's UConn and Mark Pope's Kentucky in June. Besides he has plans to visit other colleges as well starting with North Carolina on Oct. 4.
