"Diana Taurasi don't like to play defense": Paige Bueckers picks Maya Moore among other tough choices between UConn stars

Paige Bueckers and the UConn Huskies will have a tough matchup coming up when they go against the USC Trojans on Saturday. Their opposition is led by none other than spitfire scorer JuJu Watkins, meaning Bueckers will have to bring her A-game on both sides of the floor if the Huskies are to come out on top.

However, Bueckers had time to chat with NBC Sports' "On Her Turf", which released a video of her on Thursday wherein the current UConn star had to pick who would win in a matchup between former Huskies greats.

In perhaps the marquee matchup of the bunch, Paige Bueckers had to pick between WNBA legends Diana Taurasi and Maya Moore.

"Diana don't like to play defense. I'mma say Maya," Bueckers said. (0:20)

Taurasi and Moore are considered by many as one of the greatest UConn Huskies of all time and subsequently, one of the all-time greats in the WNBA. Even with Bueckers' expert opinion on the matter, it would be difficult to truly gauge who'd win between the aforementioned legends as their stacked resumes and historic performances are even with each other.

One thing that is for sure, however, is that Bueckers is also striving to write her own storied basketball career. In her fourth and potentially final season at UConn, the 5'11 guard is averaging 20.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 4.0 apg and 2.1 spg per game.

Leading the Huskies to a 10-1 record thus far, they will be gunning for win No. 11 against the Trojans on Saturday, Dec. 21.

Paige Bueckers answers other UConn legend fantasy 1-on-1 matchups

In the video, the senior sensation was also handed other tough 1-on-1 matchups between UConn greats.

When asked about a game between Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, Bueckers replied:

"How you gonna do that to me? I'mma say Stewie. I love Phee. Gosh, this is impossible." (0:05)

Moving on to a matchup between Sue Bird against Renee Montogmery, Paige weighed both players' strengths before giving her answer:

"Dang, Renee's fast. Sue is smart. I'mma just say Sue," Bueckers eventually said. (0:28)

Paige Bueckers then went on to quickly answer who she thought would win in Tina Charles versus Rebecca Lobo and Swin Cash versus Nykesha Sales, with which she went for the former in both.
