Flau'jae Johnson was all praise for Travis Hunter and the Colorado Buffaloes in the latest episode of her podcast, Best of Both Worlds.
Flau'jae spoke volumes of the talented cornerback's performances, emphasising that he is a generational talent in the current football scene.(Timestamp: 28:26 onwards)
"He barely taking snaps off. He probably missed, probably about 10 snaps in the game. He's playing snaps on defense, he's playing most of the snaps on offense, he's getting interceptions, TDs. You don't pass to his side. I don't think people understand what we see in life. Like, right now, what we watching."
"He's a generational talent."
Flau'jae Johnson extends invite to Travis Hunter on her podcast
After hyping up the Buffaloes' star cornerback, Flau'jae Johnson also invited Hunter to make an appearance on her podcast. She also admitted that she is a Hunter fangirl.
"I don't know why y'all be on my top, but that boy Travis is him. I ain't gonna lie. I need to get Travis on the podcast. I know Travis got his own podcast, but I definitely need Travis on a podcast.
"Maybe we can do some type of collab episode or something."
Hunter has been a revelation since transferring to the Colorado Buffaloes from Jackson State Tigers. He has been one of the key players in Coach Prime's team, forming a strong partnership with his son and Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
Their efforts have been critical in the Buffaloes' strong start to the 2024 season, as they currently sit second in the Big 12 conference with a 2-0 conference record and a 4-1 overall record. Current projections have Hunter as the top overall pick in next year's NFL draft, with the Jacksonville Jaguars expected to select the star cornerback.
Meanwhile, Flau'jae Johnson is set to play a key role in the LSU Tigers' push for glory in the 2024-25 season. She was one of the standouts in the 2023-24 season, averaging 14.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 34 starts, as the Tigers made the Elite Eight.
Entering her junior year, the 2022 SEC Freshman of the Year is likely to emerge as a key player in the Tigers' backcourt. Although Angel Reese is now plying her trade for the Chicago Sky in the WNBA, the Tigers will be strong favorites to make a deep postseason run, with Johnson leading the charge.
