Minnesota Lynx forward Dorka Juhasz is all set for deciding Game 5 of the 2024 WNBA Finals on Sunday. The Hungarian forward's journey in the USA began at Ohio State, where she played the first three seasons of her college career and the last two at UConn. Here is a look at Juhasz's college stats.

Dorka Juhasz college stats

Dorka Juhasz's college career was off to a great start as she averaged 11.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game in her freshman season with the Buckeyes. She shot 45.8% from the floor and started 25 of the 27 games. Juhasz was named Big Ten All-Freshman in 2019.

The forward improved in her sophomore year as she averaged 13.2 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 1.1 apg and 1.2 spg and made it to the All-Big Ten First Team. She played just 17 games in her junior year at Ohio State before red-shirting and transferring to UConn.

“My biggest reason to leave (Ohio State) was to find a place where I can get better and improve as a player the most,” Juhasz said in 2021. “I was in the transfer portal, I had many many great offers, but I just feel like UConn was that one place that I could really see myself improving and just getting better.”

Coach Geno Auriemma played a crucial role in her decision to pick UConn.

“Some schools like you to talk to their assistant coaches first to get to know the player better," she said (h/t Connecticut Post). "That was definitely a big thing for me. ... We had great conversations throughout the weeks. It’s really important for me to feel that. The coaches are invested as much as I am invested.

Juhasz's move to UConn also has a personal connection as her mother, Hajnalka Balazs, a professional basketball player, played an exhibition game against Connecticut in Storrs on Nov. 17, 1993.

“It was an unforgettable experience, and it is even more special to me that my daughter got a chance to be playing for UConn and coach Geno Auriemma," Balazs said in 2022 (via CT Insider).

At UConn, Dorka Juhasz averaged 7.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg and 1.7 apg in her red-shirt junior year and 14.2 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 3.2 apg and 1.5 spg in her senior year. The Minnesota Lynx selected her with the 16th overall pick in the 2023 WNBA draft.
