On October 17, Khaman Maluach received words of appreciation from a potential future teammate, Cayden Boozer. The high school senior is awaiting his season to begin and has committed to Duke alongside his brother Cameron Boozer.

Maluach posted a series of images on Instagram, depicting his experience at Duke. The big accumulated pictures from Blue Devils photo shoots, training with teammates, team practices, and Duke's Team Blue vs Team White showcase from this month.

Khaman Maluach enters Duke as the second five-star prospect from the 2024 class, beside Cooper Flagg. He stems from NBA Academy Africa, where he spent the last two years preparing and competing. He was mentored by Luol Deng, a former NBA and Duke player.

Moreover, Maluach's Duke teammates followed Cayden Boozer and commented on the center's post to showcase their support.

"Happiest guy alive," Neal Begovich wrote.
"Another great day to be Man Man," Duke's IG handle commented.
"🤝," Sion James wrote.
"Almost that time 😈," Duke's director of player branding, Nick Colosimo, commented.

Khaman Maluach has also played against Team USA's Olympics squad

Just like Cooper Flagg, who made headlines as a 17-year-old invited to represent the Select Team, Maluach also tested his skillset against LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and the Paris Olympics squad.

Khaman Maluach was part of the South Sudan roster that qualified for the Olympics and faced the US twice, in the exhibition contest in London (July 20) and during the pool games (July 31).

In both the contests, Maluach played a huge role in South Sudan's emergence as an international level roster. His size, height, and athleticism allowed him to pressurize the paint on defense and allowed South Sudan to stretch the floor on the other end.

Khaman Maluach shot 3-4 from the field in the exhibition game, posting seven points, three rebounds, and one block while playing 12 minutes off the bench.

Not officially listed in South Sudan's roster on the official website at the time, he was not expected to make the trip to Paris. However, Maluach saw two minutes of action in the group game against USA.
