Duke vs. Louisville Game Summary
The Blue Devils were able to have a good offensive game as the team shot 28-of-62 (45.2%) overall, 8-of-30 (26.7%) from beyond the arc, and 12-of-14 (85.7%) from the charity stripe. The team was able to rebound at a decent level with 35 total rebounds (nine offensive, 26 defensive).
However, the offense played more isolation basketball with just 13 assists on 28 baskets. The defense had seven steals and three blocks but they only turned the ball over seven times throughout the game. The offense scored 20 points off turnovers compared to Louisville’s eight and that was the difference in this game.
The Louisville Cardinals had an okay shooting night as they were 19-of-51 (37.3%) from the floor, 11-of-31 (35.5%) from the 3-point line, and 16-of-21 (76.2%) from the free-throw line.
They were able to keep up in the rebounding battle as they recorded 34 rebounds, including eight offensive. The team only recorded four steals and one block throughout the game and turned the ball over 15 separate occasions. There were a lot of reasons why they lost this game but the turnovers seem to be the main culprit.
