Top-ranked UCLA hit triple figures on the scoreboard for the second time this season with a 102-51 Long Beach State triumph on Saturday. The win went down as Cori Close's 297th win as UCLA coach, a new record for most wins by a coach in the program's history.
Following the win, the UCLA women's basketball team took to Instagram to celebrate Close's latest coaching milestone.

Excited fans stormed the comment section to congratulate the coach for her remarkable achievements.

Cori Close earns all-time wins as UCLA sinks Long Beach
UCLA coach Cori Close inked her name as the program's all-time winner after the Bruins took down Long Beach State 102-51. The Bruins picked up their 10th-straight win on Saturday afternoon, with Angela Dugalic and Lauren Betts leading the team in with 22 points each against Long Beach State.
Betts also contributed ten rebounds to secure a double-double, while Janiah Barker earned a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting ten boards.
The Bruins took control early, outscoring the Sharks 28-8 in the first quarter. They extended their lead in the second quarter, with Jaquez scoring four points within the first two minutes. Dugalic added seven points and three assists on flawless shooting, while UCLA limited Long Beach State to 12 points and forced nine turnovers.
Close's team scored 31 points during the third quarter, with Barker leading the team with eleven points in just seven minutes of play. Betts and Jaquez contributed eight points each.
Betts and Dugalic scored six points each, helping the Bruins finish the game on a strong note. The team scored 18 points in the final quarter.
After the game, Dugalic credited Close and the UCLA coaching staff for the team's stellar performances.
"“I think we have the best coaching staff in the nation,” she said per Daily News. “I’ve been here for longer than the rest of my teammates, so I’ve known them for like, how they work and all this stuff and I think Cori has selected some amazing, amazing people with her, and she knows how she works with them, and it’s been great.”
Next, No. 1 UCLA will return home at the Pauley Pavilion to face off against Cal Poly at Pauley Pavilion on Dec. 16.
