The Arkansas Razorbacks poached John Calipari out of the Kentucky Wildcats program this offseason. The coach spent 15 years with the program, led it to one NCAA championship and produced several high-caliber NBA players.

So, when Team USA recently showcased three ex-Wildcats preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics (Devin Booker, Bam Adebayo and Anthony Davis), the Hogs' X account reposted the photos while tagging USA basketball and coach Calipari.

Kentucky and other college ball fans immediately bashed the Hogs for taking the credit behind John Calipari's name:

"Remind me again, when did those dudes play for Arky? That really is stooping low, kinda pitiful," a fan wrote.
"Unreal but not surprised," an enthusiast wrote.
"Aint none of them play for Arkansas, wtf 😂😂," another fan quipped.

As the post gained traction, Arkansas' director of social media, content and strategy RachAel Harris claimed that the graphic was fake while citing that she handles the Razorbacks' X account.

Fans immediately headed to Razorbacks men's basketball's X account to verify the post, realizing that it was fake and radiating their sentiments in the comment section:

"Free advertising for Kentucky," a fan wrote.
"This is a fake post buddy. Engagement farming at its finest," another Wildcats fan quipped.
"That’s not a real tweet dawg😂 what Kentucky fan paid you to post this?😂," a college hoops-fan commented.

Arkansas will play at the MSG for the first time in over 30 years

The Hogs’ new coach has forged a deal with another unrevealed program to compete for a game in the prestigious MSG in New York. St. John’s has a history of regularly playing in the arena and could be Caliapri’s Big Apple challenge.

While Calipari visited the Knicks’ homecourt with Kentucky, it will be the Razorbacks’ first game in the arena since the Duke Blue Devils matchup in 1990.

Arkansas will also visit the Dallas Mavericks’ home court, which hosted a part of the 2024 NBA finals. The Razorbacks last played at the American Airlines Center against Baylor in 2008. Like the MSG game, there are no matchup details available for the Dallas game as well.
