Fans reacted as Nike dropped a new commercial starring UConn guard Paige Bueckers this week. Bueckers along with other athletes wore the brand's new Vomero 5 sneakers.
On Friday, Nike Women's account shared stills and videos from the ad campaign, where Bueckers was styled in a pink top, puffer jacket and black pants, finishing the look with Nike's footwear.
"The Vomero 5, made for athletes on the move like @paigebueckers," the caption read.
Fans have quickly flooded the comments section with their praise for the Connecticut star.
"Face card is lethal," one fan wrote.
"God took his timeeee with herrr💜😌," another fan showed their support.
"Pinky Paige is 🔥🔥🔥🔥," a fan addressed to Paige's pink hair that matches with top.
"SHES SO ETHEREAL," another one commented.
"i need to know what lipliner she has on BECAUSE ITS BEAUTIFULLLL😭😭," one fan loved Paige's makeup look.
Meanwhile, a fan showed concern about former Iowa star Caitlin Clark's Nike shoes not dropping yet.
"Hey Nike When does the Caitlin Clark shoe come out?," the fan commented.
Nike's Vomera 5 shoe is priced at $160.00 on the brand's website. The one Paige Bueckers wore with a revamped design and color in the ad is not available for purchase just yet.
Paige Bueckers' response to criticism for her summer excursions
Paige Bueckers, a two-time Big East player, had the best summer of her college years in 2024.
Following the end of the season in April, Bueckers attended several events and trips, including the WNBA draft, ESPY award ceremony, WNBA All-Star game, MLB game and the US Open.
However, some fans wondered if Bueckers is spending enough time training on the court, as she has been seen out and about a lot.
"I had a pretty good summer. I enjoyed it. It was my first healthy offseason where I wasn't in a place rehabbing, staying at school, getting stronger. So I took advantage of it," Paige said.
"Everybody saw the world tour, they didn't see the work tour. They see me 3-4 hours a day and they think they know my entire 24 hours. Which is cool," she continued. "It's fine. The work will always show. ... So all that's to say I had a great summer, yeah."
The upcoming season is likely the last in her college career. ESPN's first mock draft for the WNBA put Paige Bueckers at the No. 1 spot joining the Los Angeles Sparks.
